Greetings, lovelies. Just a friendly reminder: It's really important to pay it forward. Many of us know what it's like to be on the receiving end of some terrible "luck" and wrong decisions. Consider a direct & meaningful way to extend your compassionate support to those in need. By donating gently worn garments directly to recently released women, you can make a significant difference in their lives. Organizations such as Penacon , Jail Babes , Caged Ladies , Prison Friendship , Write a Prisoner, and Save A Babe, are excellent platforms for this initiative so as long as you disclose your benefactor status.
While it might seem easier to donate items in bulk to facilities*, this approach often leads to "unforseen issues" (to say the least). By choosing to connect directly with the individuals you wish to support, you not only ensure that your gifts reach them but also establish a personal relationship that can uplift spirits and foster hope. Being involved in this way allows you to advocate more effectively — you're not just a supporter from afar; you're actively making a difference. Your efforts can help these women feel seen and valued during challenging times.
Bear in mind: I, myself know where I come from and I'll always be humble, BUT at the same time, I refuse to let my past of dirty deeds get the best of me. I've managed to re-establish myself stemming from 2005. Yaaaas, 20 years & counting! Blessed be! I intend on using this separate, not-for-profit platform to help as many as I can.
*it's understandable to be apprehensive about taking this approach so please feel free to look into other outlets: Womens Prison Association, National Council, and Prison Fellowship are a few places where you can make a difference through a funnel company if preferred.
